We were able to reserve places as we had flights with Singapore airlines. The process was efficient and easy. We were pleasantly surprised however- the guide May was excellent; she communicated well and had a lovely friendly manner. We saw a fantastic show at Gardens by the Bay, and all free! Also stopped off at The Jewel on our return, courtesy of the coach driver. The registration process was pretty straight forward. The tour guide Catherine was really helpful and seemed knowledgeable. She gave us some useful information about Singapore and its people. We booked extra lay over time to explore Singapore airport and the things they offer as we figured it would be an easy low stress way to see some sights. We went on the free heritage tour - the customer service was terrible. The organisation system was very bad, the guide Catherine was essentially just yelling at us, she was not clear about what we should do and she was very rude. The actual tour itself was mostly driving past things and giving us propaganda like rants about how great Singapore was, it was hard to see anything from the bus and poorly explained. The driver almost left some people behind actually started driving away despite them still having allocated time to get back. One lady needed to use a rest room half way through the tour and the way the guide treated her was horrible, this was actually shocking and very sad for this older woman. If you are going to go - take lots of water with you and don’t expect much. The bus is very hot and makes the whole terrible service a lot more hard to handle. Going by yourself would have much preferred to go to the The Gardens by the Bay by ourselves if we knew how bad this tour was going to be or just exploring the Jewel very beautiful, lots to see etc. at the airport would be much better 27 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Much of the rest of the “gift” is hemmed in by restrictions. You can’t book in advance, only on the day, so you can go only when a tour is available which may or may not suit you. We arrived at 9am to discover the next tour was at OK so we went, which meant being back at the gathering point at because you have to go through entry procedure. The tour takes you back to the terminal and you can’t stay in Singapore or re-enter the city. The tour itself is just some highlights which is ok; two opportunities to get off and take pictures. The bus is old but sound. Like a school bus; certainly not a comfortable coach. Commentary was in English, which is to say rather stilted English which is unusual in Singapore. We had to concentrate hard to follow what the guide was saying. It’s a taste of Singapore, more of a wiff really. And be prepared to be bossed around. Our guide, Selma, loves Singapore and told us lots of great stories and things about the city. We had two stops where we got off the bus and walked a short way. The lights of the city and harbour were breathtaking. My husband and I both carried our youngest children and the 2 older ones walked. Then second stop was at Gardens by the Bay to see the nightly light-and music show at the Supertrees. It was magical. Then we were taken back to the airport. Discover the hidden streets and famous temples with our Chinatown Free Walking Tour, and learn more about the early Chinese immigrants in Singapore. Our Kampung Glam Free Walking Tour takes you to a neighbourhood that Saat kembali ke Indonesia, kami mencari jadwal dengan waktu transit yang cukup lama untuk meng-eksplor Singapura. 4UP7yyE.
